When items need to stay secure between locations or while unattended, lockable trolleys provide the extra control that open-frame models can’t. Whether you’re transporting electronics, documents or tools, these trolleys help reduce risk without slowing down workflow. Our lockable trolley range includes low-profile units for under-desk or bench storage, mid-height models ideal for general movement between departments, and tall cage formats up to 1800 mm for full-volume distribution and secure staging. In shared storage zones, they’re often supported by laptop lockers or keyed cabinets for stationary assets, with the trolleys serving as mobile complements to fixed secure units.
Mesh security cages offer a strong balance of protection and usability. The wire construction allows visibility of contents for quick checks, while the lockable doors help prevent tampering or unauthorised access. Most mesh units are built from galvanised or powder-coated steel in silver or light grey finishes, with optional doors and roofs depending on use case. Shelving options vary: some models include fixed internal shelves to separate tools or paperwork, while others remain open for bulk handling. These lockable wire cages are often used in education, healthcare and maintenance environments, where shared storage needs added oversight. Facilities managing high-value items may also integrate key storage cabinets to maintain access logs or provide centralised key control for secure cages across zones.
In logistics and service operations, trolleys are often left in corridors, lifts or public-facing areas. Our distribution and security trolleys are designed for these use cases, with reinforced tubular steel frames, durable castors and secure latch systems to protect goods while on the move. Available in heights ranging from 1100 mm to 1700 mm, many models include one or two internal shelves—either fixed or removable—for easy load organisation. Some are painted in high-visibility blue or grey powder coat to stand out in busy environments, while others use neutral tones for office or healthcare settings. In restocking workflows, these are often paired with shelf trolleys for faster separation of secured and unsecured inventory.
By combining movement and protection, lockable trolleys reduce the need for separate secure rooms or repeated sign-off procedures. In facilities where equipment is shared across shifts or teams, using a mobile but secure system helps maintain availability without loss or misplacement. For larger campuses or multi-zone sites, this can improve traceability while still keeping handling fast and flexible. Many sites also rely on side cabinets alongside lockable trolleys to archive sensitive materials or create modular security stations across office, healthcare or service buildings.
