About the scholarship:

At AJ Products we are committed to supporting the next generation of talent. That's why we are offering a £1,000 scholarship to one UK university student to help with the cost of their studies. This opportunity is open to undergraduate or postgraduate students enrolled at a UK university during the academic year of 2025-2026. The scholarship aims to encourage and support students who have new ideas and projects to improve working environments in the workplace of the future. We want to support initiatives that reduce friction and make workplaces more ergonomic, productive and enjoyable.

Eligibility criteria:

The scholarship is open to full-time students at colleges and universities in the UK and is not limited to a specific subject of study. To apply, applicants must:

Be aged 18 or over at the time of entry
Be currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at a UK university for the academic year 2025/2026.
Submit an original entry (written, visual, or otherwise, as outlined).
Agree to the terms and conditions of the competition.
Note that applications should be individual.

How to apply:

To apply, students must submit a short essay (500 - 1000 words) or video (maximum 3 minutes) ) of an idea or project on the following subject:

Explain one way in which the workplace of the future could be adapted to improve employee wellbeing and happiness at work. It should focus on the way that employees interact with the physical work environment and how companies could apply your idea to improve mental and/or physical wellbeing. Tell us how this idea is inspired by your personal experience or field of study, or describe a problem you’ve observed or encountered and how your idea addresses it.

This could include a product, an initiative, a change to building design or any other relevant idea. It could be designed for an office environment or an industrial workspace (such as a factory, warehouse or workshop). If it is not immediately obvious, please detail where the idea would be applied.

The student must include the following information alongside their application:

Full name of applicant
University
Course name
Years of study
Type of programme (i.e. undergraduate or postgraduate)
Contact phone number

Entries must be submitted via email at scholarships@ajproducts.co.uk by the closing date. Note: Applications can only be submitted digitally.

Applications will be judged on*:

Potential of the project to improve working environments and employee wellbeing.
Degree of innovation and practical benefit.
Ability to explain the background and personal experience informing the idea.
Genuine creativity over grammatical accuracy.

Application period:

Applications are open from 1st September to 31st December 2025. The winner will be notified by email.

Deadline for entries: 31st December 2025 at 23.59 (GMT).

Winner notification and requirements:

The winner will be contacted via the details provided in their application within 30 days of the closing date.
The winner must provide proof of enrolment (e.g. student ID card or university confirmation letter).
If the winner does not respond within 14 days, AJ Products UK reserves the right to offer the scholarship to another applicant.
The scholarship fund will be paid by AJ Products UK within 14 days of confirmation from the winning applicant.

*Terms and conditions:

Only one entry per person is permitted.
Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria as outlined and provide proof on enrolment on request. Note, there are no academic achievement or financial threshold requirements for this scholarship.
Entries will be judged by a panel of representatives from AJ Products based on originality, relevance, and impact. Please note that the judgement is subjective.
The decision of the judging panel is final.
The applicant must be the original author or creator of the work. Any entries found to be generated by AI will be disqualified.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to obtain appropriate written permission from people or businesses that are identifiable in their entry, and to produce evidence of that consent if requested.
By applying, applicants grant AJ Products UK the right to publish their name, university, and submitted content (essay or video) for promotional purposes on its website, social media channels, and press materials. The winner may be invited to participate in a short follow-up interview or provide a testimonial.
Prize funds are non-transferable and not exchangeable for other products or services.
AJ Products reserves the right to withdraw or amend the competition if circumstances make this necessary.
Employees of AJ Products (UK) Ltd., their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected with the scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Submission of an application will be deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Any personal data provided will be used solely for the purpose of administering the scholarship and in accordance with UK data protection laws (GDPR). Contact details of applicants (including the winning entry) will not be shared.
