Crash bollards help keep mixed areas safer by showing drivers where to go and protecting the spots that often get hit — like door frames, aisle ends, pipes and loading bays. Ours are made tough for daily warehouse use with bright yellow paint and black bands, strong steel posts, and secure fixings. You can choose bolt-down bases for quick installs or concrete-in versions for permanent use. Some bollards bend when knocked and spring back, while others are heavy-duty and stay firm. Both types help drivers see space clearly, keep knocks small, and make work run smoothly.
Good guidance comes first, stopping power second. Use safety mirrors at blind corners so drivers can see what’s coming. Then place crash bollards with crash barriers to guide turns, crossings and lanes. Their bright colours and rounded tops make them easy to spot, and strong bases stop them moving, even after small bumps. Shorter bollards around 600 mm are great for indoor aisles, while taller ones up to 1200 mm are better outdoors where vehicles need clearer warning. Clear routes mean smoother traffic, fewer near misses, and less damage to trucks or building frames.
Some places always get hit: shutter doors, aisle ends and columns. Add edge protection to make these areas stand out, then place bollards to take the impact. Slim posts fit tight aisles, while heavier bollards protect open racking ends and outside bays. Together they give drivers a clear visual cue and a solid stop, which keeps bays straight, stock in place and reduces repair work. The tough paint is scratch- and weather-resistant, easy to wipe down, and lasts well. Keeping posts evenly spaced also helps drivers learn safe habits in tricky areas.
Worksites often change during projects or busy times, so temporary controls need to be quick and clear. Use traffic cones early to mark diversions, then add modular jersey barriers to build lanes or holding areas. Once the flow works, swap cones and barriers for permanent crash bollards — bolt-down posts if you want flexibility, or concrete-in bollards for outdoor use. In open yards, heavy concrete vehicle barriers give maximum stopping power. Weather-resistant coatings and galvanised steel keep them strong outside, and simple fixings make installs easy. Together, these measures protect people, buildings and work schedules.
