It is fitted with a hinged lid that has a moulded handle to make it easier to open and comes with a hasp and staple lock to prevent anyone from taking or tampering with the bin’s contents (padlocks not supplied). It is a good idea for any business to keep their own store of salt for gritting car parks and pathways in icy conditions but is particularly recommended for busy public areas such as station platforms and shopping centre car parks, as well as schools – anywhere that may not be gritted by the council.
