This ergonomic chair is certified by FIRA to BS EN 5459-2:2000, meaning it is structurally suitable and sufficiently stable for 24-hour contract use for people weighing up to 24 stone (150 kg) – perfect for demanding work environments such as call centres and control rooms that are open 24/7. The heavy-duty asynchronous mechanism enables you to adjust the tilt of the back and seat independently of each other, change the height of the backrest and move the seat up or down so you can vary your posture and find the most comfortable position. For extra comfort, the 24-hour chair comes with height- and width-adjustable armrests. The foam in the seat and back is rated for fire retardancy to BS 5852 and the leather-look upholstery to BS 7176 low hazard. A black, nylon 5-star base is fitted as standard, but you can choose to purchase a polished aluminium base separately – see accessories below.
