These glass fibres steps are designed to protect electricians against shocks whilst working at height. They are insulated to 30,000 volts and certified to EN 131 for professional use.
To ensure optimum safety when working at height, the large platform has a kick board on the back and sides. The ladder also features a high guard rail that surrounds the user as they stand on the platform; the rail has a gate on the front that allows the user to climb the steps unrestricted and then secures behind them once they have reached the work platform. The safety rail sits 950 mm above the platform so that it is around waist height for most users. A tool tray is incorporated into the rear guard rail so you can place tools and small parts within easy reach.
Non-slip feet and rigid aluminium side arms ensure the steps stay in position. Models with five or more steps also come with integrated stabilisers to provide increased stability.
The podium steps also come with wheels on the side of the legs that can be used to tilt and pull the steps into position without the need for lifting.
