The desk lid has a sound-absorbing linoleum surface which contributes to a better classroom working environment. Linoleum is made from natural and renewable raw materials and has a small carbon footprint compared with competing sound absorbing materials. The linoleum used for student desk 188 is Nordic Eco labelled. There is a practical compartment for storing pencils, erasers, rulers etc. by the hinges of the desk lid.
The stand can be adjusted up or down to suit any student chair and ensure an ergonomic working position. The stand is made of epoxy lacquered steel tubes and there is a brace between the legs for extra stability. On the shorter sides of the frame there are two practical bag hooks to allow students to hang their back packs, satchels or other items right next to their seats.
