Cube lockers and personal effects lockers are compact, secure storage units designed for schools, offices, gyms, and industrial welfare facilities where space is limited and multiple users need individual secure compartments. Our range covers individual stackable cube units, through to 40-compartment floor-standing banks for busy offices, schools, and staff rooms.
Cube lockers are compact, square-format steel units sized for personal items rather than clothing. Stack two units high in a corridor, run a row of six side by side in a reception area, or build a bank of mixed sizes in a school entrance - the modular format means the layout adapts to the space rather than the other way around.
Fixing the units together creates a stable, uniform bank and removes a security vulnerability that's easy to overlook: a single unsecured cube is light enough for someone to pick up and walk away with. A bolted row or stack is not.
In schools, cube lockers work well for storing smaller personal items - bags, PE kit, lunch boxes - where a full-height clothes locker would be excessive. In offices, they suit hot-desk environments where staff need a personal locker assigned per shift rather than a permanent storage solution. Our MULTICUBE 10-section locker takes the wall-mounted approach further - 150mm deep, flat to the wall, no stacking required, and suited to corridors and reception areas where floor space simply isn't available.
When individual cube units aren't practical at scale, our floor-standing personal effects locker banks bring the same compact storage logic to commercial capacity. Available in 8, 10, 20, 28, and 40-compartment configurations, they cover everything from a small staff room to school hallways, and workplaces of any size.
The large 40-compartment personal effects locker gives 40 people their own locker in the space a four-door clothes locker would occupy. The 20-compartment locker suits mid-sized teams. For tighter spaces, the 8-door wall-mounted locker covers 920×250mm at only 160mm deep.
The demand for phone lockers has grown noticeably as more workplaces and schools introduce no-phone policies. Manufacturing sites where devices are a safety distraction, call centres handling sensitive data, schools managing screen time - in all of these settings, staff or students need somewhere lockable to leave a mobile phone.
Our smallest phone lockers at just 150×200×150mm are sized precisely for this. A mobile phone, a pair of earphones, and a key fit comfortably.
For higher-capacity phone storage, such as a school collecting 30 devices at the start of the school day, or a call centre with a full floor of agents, our multi-compartment personal effects locker banks handle up to 40 phones in a single floor-standing unit. Each compartment is individually lockable.
Most AJ Products lockers are supplied without a fixed lock as standard, giving you the flexibility to choose the locking option that best suits your needs. You can select from options like key-operated locks, code locks or hasp locks, which let users attach their own padlock. Some wire mesh lockers are also available without doors and therefore do not include any lock mechanism.
Cube lockers are compact, square-shaped lockers designed to store smaller personal items like shoes, bags, or electronics. They’re ideal for environments where space is limited or where individual secure compartments are needed for multiple users, such as offices, gyms, and schools.
Yes, cube lockers are designed to be stacked on top of each other or nested side by side, and secured together using nesting nuts and bolts for stability. Fixing the units together creates a neat, uniform bank of storage and has a practical security benefit: a single unsecured cube locker is light enough to be picked up and walked off with. A bolted stack or row is not. For wall-mounted configurations, our MULTICUBE 10-section personal effects locker comes as a single pre-built bank - 150mm deep, flat to the wall, no stacking required.
We stock secure lockers with multiple compartments, including options like 20 door lockers. These are perfect for storing personal belongings in high-traffic areas and allow many users to store items safely within a compact footprint.
Yes. Our smallest cube lockers - 270×270×350mm - are sized specifically for a phone, keys, and small valuables. They're used as phone lockers in call centres, manufacturing sites, schools, and hospital departments where staff are required to store devices during shifts. These are non-charging lockers; they provide secure, lockable compartments without charging hardware.
For shift-based settings where all staff are present simultaneously, you need one compartment per person, so 30 lockers for 30 staff. Our 40-compartment floor-standing cube lockers cover this with headroom for growth. For staggered shifts, you may be able to get away with fewer - one locker per peak simultaneous headcount rather than total headcount.
Steel, primarily - the same powder-coated sheet steel used across our full locker range. powder coating resists scratches and wipes down easily, which matters in high-turnover environments like gyms and schools where a quick clean between sessions is part of the routine.
Individual cube lockers are freestanding, stackable units - flexible, modular, and suited to smaller teams or spaces where storage needs may grow over time. Personal effects locker banks are fixed multi-compartment units (8 to 40 doors) built as a single piece - better suited to high-capacity settings where you know exactly how many users you're catering for.
