A customised pallet racking system, award-winning lockers, bespoke wallpaper and office interior design. These are just a few parts of the comprehensive solution that AJ Products delivered to Wohlins Fryshus Logistik AB’s new frozen storage and office facility.
Wohlins Fryshus Logistik AB, based in Halmstad, Sweden, provides cold storage, frozen transport and logistics solutions to a diverse client base. As part of its ongoing growth, the company has expanded its facilities in stages to better serve customer demand. The latest development includes a new 1,800 m² cold store alongside 240 m² of modern office space. AJ Products was selected to supply a complete interior fit-out for both areas - combining functional warehouse design with bespoke office furniture solutions. “AJ Products' sales team were forward-thinking and able to come up with proposals that suited our needs,” says Roger Wohlin, Transport Manager at Wohlins Fryshus Logistik AB.
Tailored, space-efficient pallet racking for cold storage
To support operations in the cold store, we supplied customised pallet racking from our range ULTIMATE. The solution was developed in close collaboration with the customer to meet the specific demands of the business.
“We designed it together with the project sales team and everything works really well,” says Roger Wohlin.
The ULTIMATE pallet racking system, designed and manufactured by AJ Products, is a space-efficient and highly flexible solution. With slimmer uprights than standard pallet racks and beams that can be adjusted in 50 mm increments, the system makes it easy to maximise storage capacity without compromising on accessibility. This adaptability has significantly improved picking efficiency.
“Occupational safety has also increased,” Roger adds, noting that the compact racking system allows for wider truck aisles, improves manoeuvrability and reduces the risk of accidents.

Thoughtful interior design and bespoke solutions
The office area consists of a canteen, break area, conference room, four-person office, changing facilities and a cosy, fully furnished entrance hall where visitors can sit down before meetings. AJ Products supplied furniture and fittings for all areas and also assisted with flooring and curtains to create a cohesive and comfortable interior. The building benefits from large windows and an abundance of natural light, helping to create a bright and pleasant working environment.
"AJ Products helped us get the right colours in the right place. We were given drawings and 3D images so we could get a good feel for how it would look," says Roger. When needed, bespoke solutions were developed, such as a custom mural featuring the New York cityscape in warm tones. The wallpaper adds a sense of inspiration and comfort, offering a welcoming transition for staff coming in from the cold storage area.
Interior design with added impact
Wohlins placed particular emphasis on design and quality throughout the facility. This is especially evident in the changing room, which features our own CREATE ENERGY locker range. This award-winning series received the Red Dot Design Award in 2015, one of the world’s most prestigious accolades for product design.
The metal lockers are elegantly paired with round, fabric-covered stools, creating a cohesive and comfortable space that reflects the company's attention to detail.
"Height-adjustable desks and confortable office chairs were a must for the offices," says Roger.
The team also selected sliding-door cabinets and side-opening units positioned on the short end, offering space-saving storage while doubling as room dividers. The offices feature several inviting seating areas where staff and visitors can relax in comfort.

“We tested as much as we could in AJ Product’s Swedish showroom before making our final decisions,” Roger adds, noting that everyone is extremely pleased with the end result.
