Room for community and recovery at Rejmes
Rejmes Bil in Halmstad values its staff and understands the importance of a functional, inviting workspace. When it came time to revamp their dining and meeting rooms, they enlisted AJ Products to create a welcoming environment. A key goal was to offer employees from various departments a relaxed space to connect and socialise.

Considering how much time employees spend at work, Rejmes wanted to create a welcoming shared space where staff could recharge and feel at home. The goal was to strengthen the sense of community among teams from sales, the workshop and the office, enhancing overall well-being. By designing functional and inviting common areas, employees from all departments would have the chance to connect and relax during breaks and meals.

A large space with functional zones
Transforming the large lunchroom into an inviting space was achieved by creating multiple zones. Using sound-absorbing room dividers, the area was split into a dining space and a cosy lounge area. Multifunctional furniture helped reduce noise while maximizing space and warm yellow dividers, topped with greenery, added a welcoming touch. Additionally, a spacious meeting room with a “room within a room” setup met the need for a comfortable, communal gathering area.

Dining space for relaxation and community
Groups of tables create inviting islands throughout the room, encouraging peaceful and relaxed meals. Since lunch is crucial for recharging energy for the rest of the day, the goal was to design a stress-free environment. The interior layout also emphasises easy maintenance and cleanliness.

Lounge for coffee and chats
To form the two connected lounge areas, a corner sofa acts as a natural divider. Flexible seating options, like lightweight armchairs and small tables, make it easy to accommodate either larger groups or a few people enjoying coffee. For added privacy when needed, sound-absorbing armchairs are positioned along the walls.
Furnishes for flexible meetings
Rejmes needed adaptable furniture for their large conference room. AJ Product’s solution was a set of tables that can be rearranged into a large conference table or split into smaller groups. The tables are easy to fold and store, making space for additional seating when needed, such as for large briefings. Extra chairs are also available for flexibility.

Communication in meeting rooms
The two meeting rooms feature boat-shaped tables, promoting eye contact and active participation from all attendees. This design aligns with Rejmes' vision of fostering community and well-being at work. A movable whiteboard adds flexibility, while the warm gray tones in the room create a calm, distraction-free environment.
Consistent Style
During planning meetings between Rejmes and AJ Products, it was clear that both design and function were very important. AJ Product’s team ensured this by creating a cohesive color scheme throughout the rooms, with gray tones complemented by warm yellow and greenery. The adaptable furniture design allowed for easy rearrangement while maintaining a consistent style.
"The delivery and assembly were seamless for us, as AJ Products handled everything, leading to an excellent result," says Niklas Johansson.
Satisfied employees who thrive
After everything had been in place for a while and the employees had time to use the newly furnished rooms, we at AJ Products asked the all important question: How do you feel about the changes that have been implemented?
"The staff have been very, very positive about it all. The lounge area with sofas is a fantastic feature, definitely something we were missing before," says Niklas Johansson. Colleague Karl Bäck is also positive about the new interior. "Super happy with the result! I think it turned out very nice and feel that it exceeded the expectations I had.”
