How many companies have managed to stick to their original business concept for more than 30 years? Probably very few, but AJ Products has actually managed to remain loyal to their original mission; to supply customers with office, warehouse and materials handling products. By eliminating the middleman between customers and manufacturers, AJ Products is able to offer a wide range of quality products at great prices.


SPONSORSHIP
Sports sponsorship. Over the past 25 years, the AJ catalogue has become synonymous with celebrities and sports personalities. Through our association with top class sportsmen and women and targeted sports advertising, AJ Products has supported and promoted a number of sports. Referees have not been excluded from our ad campaigns either!


SUCCESS
The ability of AJ Products to continually improve product range and product quality has been key to our success. Over the years, AJ Products has worked closely with suppliers and manufacturers to bring our customers the best products at the lowest prices. This has resulted in a number of strategic acquisitions and alliances with manufacturing companies throughout Europe, with a combined workforce of more than 1,000 employees. Over the past 25 years, the AJ brand has gone from strength to strength both within it's home market of Scandinavia and in the rest of Europe.


EXPANSION
From it's roots in Sweden, AJ Products quickly expanded into the rest of Scandinivia. From there the company has opened subsidiaries throughout Europe. The AJ Catalogue is now printed in more than 20 languages and is also distributed in Singapore. AJ Products is a company that has successfully globalised it's business whilst retaining a focus on local markets and customers.


HISTORIC MILESTONES
Historic milestones:
1975:
AJ opens for business in Hyltebruk, in southern Sweden.

1976:
Company turnover reaches SEK two million.

1978:
First celebrity graces the front cover of the catalogue.

1981:
AJ Products moves into new premises.

1982:
AJ opens a subsidiary in Norway.

1985:
Now it is Finland's turn. Turnover reaches SEK 34 million.

1987:
AJ begins its association with sports advertising.

1989:
AJ opens a subsidiary in Denmark.
1993:
AJ acquires its first factory for in-house production.

1994:
AJ enters the German market.

1995:
Turnover now reaches SEK 310 million. Subsidiary opens in Slovakia.

1996:
AJ becomes first company to buy referees - honestly. Ice hockey whistlers wear our logo during the 1997 World Championships.

1997:
Subsidiary opens in Holland.

1999:
AJ acquires stakes in several production companies. Subisidiary companies opened in Estonia, Latvia, Great Britain and the Irish Republic.

2000:
We complete our sixth extension in Hyltebruk. The company now has a 25,000 m2 warehouse in Sweden.

2003:
AJ begins producing office furniture to their own design

2004:
AJ offers a new service: Complete interior design service including furniture, carpets, seating and colours. It's a success - initial orders total 5000 individual products. New subsidiary is opened in Lithuania.

2005:
AJ Products celebrates 30 years of trading. A subsidiary is opened in Austria. Group turnover is now 850 million Swedish Kronor.
